Friday night at the Gaylord Resort and Convention Center

We went out to the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center last night to see their fireworks show. They have a fireworks show every Friday night during the summer. And, expcept for paying a little bit for parking it's free to go. YAY!

Here's a picture of the resort/hotel.
Joshua sitting by the fireplace inside.
They have a huge model train display with trains going constantly on the tracks. I could hardly get Joshua to leave and go see the fireworks because he LOVED the trains so much.

Fireworks!

A very happy Joshua! We had such a great night!
We've definitely got to go back to the resort/hotel during the day so I can get more pictures. They have a really cool river walk inside the atrium of the hotel that you can walk around. It's made to look like the actual river walk in San Antonio, Texas. It was soooo pretty! They also have a horse drawn carriage you can ride around the resort.

WOW!

This stopped me dead in my tracks. What kind of gospel are we preaching? Living the Christian life is one of the hardest, most difficult things we will ever do. Living for Christ is not easy. It takes amazing courage to stand up for Christ and chose his way. However, it's the most rewarding, the most amazing ride you'll ever take. And, I wouldn't go any other way.

I pray this video will touch your heart the way it did mine.

Putt Putt Fun Center on Friday Night

We headed over to the Putt Putt fun center Friday night for some cheap entertainment. :)

We rode the go-carts, which Joshua absolutely LOVES.

Then he got to ride the airplanes.

Then we played some putt putt.
Joshua got his picture on the animals along the putt putt course.
OOPS! I guess Joshua hit the ball way too hard that time. I wonder where it went. (SEE BELOW)

oh, there it is in the water.

Playing some video games so he could win lots of prize tickets.

Joshua traded in his prize tickets for a SWORD. (of course) :)

Just Another Fun Saturday

At the Lowes Build and Grow Workshop this weekend Joshua built a helicopter.

Joshua spraying himself with his water gun. Just trying to stay cool in this Texas heat. He's such a nut and had a BLAST spraying himself in the face. He thought it was hilarious.

Saturday - July 11, 2009

We started off our morning at Lowes for the Kid's Workshop. The kids made treasure chests today and Joshua, was of course, very excited about making his.

After Lowes, we headed over to the mall for Joshua to run off some energy on the playground.

Then we went home and played with our new hermit crabs. They live in a tank (there is a pic down below of it) but we decided we would make them a little "playground" outside of their tank so Joshua could interact with them a little more. Joshua was very generous in sharing his toys with his hermit crabs.

This is TIGGER. :)
This is SPARKY (the red one) and TOADY.
Joshua was finally not scared to hold one of them. Now we can't get him to leave them alone. He wants to hold them all the time.

Their Home Sweet Home.
After playing with our hermit crabs we headed downtown for some dinner at Uno's. There are only two restaurants that me, Rodney and Joshua all three like and this is one of them! (Outback is the other one. Yummy.)
Joshua gets to make his own pizza.

Ready for the oven. The waiter then comes back after Joshua has made his pizza to take it and cook it.
The yummy cooked pizza.
We walked around downtown Fort Worth a little bit after dinner.

We had to go to Costco and grab a few things, so we brought the stuff back home to put it in the frig and headed back out around 7:00 tonight to go to starbucks. Joshua was exhausted, so he just laid in the chair and me and Rodney got to talk.

And, now we're home and I can't go to sleep. I'm totally not used to having caffeine so after drinking a frappacino tonight I'm wired. It's almost midnight and it's totally not like me to be up this late. I'm usually in bed around 9:30 or 10 every night. I'm going to need another frappacino just to get my rear up for church in the morning. (haha)
