It's Monday Again

I posted my weekend overview last Friday and our weekend really didn't follow the plan except on Friday. We did have family movie night and that was a lot of fun. We woke up to a chilly Saturday morning. It was in the 30's (CRAZY). We got up and got ready for Joshua's soccer game and got to the YMCA and it was just too cold for the kids to play. So, the game got cancelled. Since it was so stinkin cold outside we also decided we would not go to the easter egg hunt either. I didn't want to chance any of us getting sick. So, instead we went to the Bass Pro Shop and we had so much fun. We have decided to go camping next weekend and since we did not bring our sleeping bags to Texas with us, we figured we had better get some. We found some really nice ones and got all 3 of us one for a total of $45. I was so shocked we were able to find some that are so nice but not expensive. I was very happy about that. Since that is all we really needed for camping we toured around the rest of the store. It's really a fun place to go look around. We got to climb up in the boats they have. Me and Joshua had a blast doing this, I think we embarrased Rodney though. Me and Joshua were being silly. They also had some of their tents set up so me and Joshua would run in them and pretend like we were camping. We had a blast.

Saturday night we took Joshua to parents night out at church and we headed to Outback to meet up with 15 of our friends for my birthday dinner. We had a WONDERFUL time. It was so nice to hang out with everybody. We hung out for about 2 and a half hours just laughing and telling stories. It was so great. I think we should definitely get together like that more often.

Then on Sunday we were slackers, but not really. We decided that we would sleep in and get caught up on some rest instead of going to church. Once we got up I began cleaning and did not stop until late last night. I did 3 hours worth of ironing, which is soooo crazy for me because I NEVER iron. But, Rodney has a lot of dress shirts and slacks that needed washing and ironing so I took care of all that for him. I was able to get so much done yesterday and it was very nice to get caught up on housework and be able to spend a laid back day at home with Rodney and Joshua. We don't get to do that enough.

This coming weekend we are looking forward to going camping. Joshua is soooooo excited and cannot wait. We got him a little fishing pole so he can go fishing and he can't wait. He keeps asking every five minutes, "is it time to go camping yet?" I'm very excited about going and of course will have lots of pictures to show off when we get back. It's such a nice, cheap way to get away. And, being outdoors is right up our ally so I'm looking forward to our fun adventures we'll get into this weekend.

Well, I'm off to work. Just wanted to give you all a quick update. :)

*Take Joshua to GIFT night at Church (a.k.a Parents Night Out)
*Meet a bunch of friends for dinner at Outback to celebrate my 30th birthday.

*CRASH :)

So, we are definitely looking forward to a nice weekend. Saturday will be pretty busy but that's ok.. we'll have tons of fun!

More Cloud Pictures

I borrowed these from Barb's blog. These clouds are so amazing! The pictures are great, but they really don't describe what it was like seeing these with my own eyes. The whole sky was just full of these awesome wavy clouds. It was gorgeous. We serve an amazingly creative God. If he can make something so beautiful like that in the sky, just think of how beautiful he wants to make our lives if we just let him.

A Little Before and After

I've almost met my goal for Weight Watchers and I am soooooooo HAPPY! I'm needing a little motivation to keep going since I'm getting close to where I want to be and the weight isn't coming off as fast as it had been. SO, I'm posting a before and almost after picture to show myself and all of you just how far I've come. To date I've lost 58.4 lbs and I have 5 more to go. I'm on the home stretch and couldn't feel better.

Amazing Clouds

Here's a look at the clouds outside here this afternoon. They are simply amazing. All I could think as I looked at them is, "Wow GOD. You did an amazing job with that." You can't help but be in awe of God as you look at something so amazing.

My Happy 30th Birthday

A Happy Birthday Princess sign my co-worker Jessica put outside our house for me to wake up to this morning! I got to work and my office was all decorated with pink and white streamers and I had a tiara and magic wand so that I could be a Princess all day long.
